WHAKATANE • BOROUGH COUNCIL Notice is hereby given that t Whakatane Borough Council, pt suant to its powers under the pr visions of Sections 77, 79, 80 to 5 96, 99 and 100 of the Municipal Cc porations Act, 1933, the Rating A 1925, section 52 of the Hospital ai Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, t Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, aj all other powers enabling it in th behalf, intends at a meeting of t Council to be held on Tuesday, Mi 28, 1946, at the Council Chambe: Commerce Street, Whakatane, make and levy the following rat and fees viz:—A consolidated ra of l/7ld in the £ in lieu of the fc lowing—General rate of 6|d in t £', Hospital and Charitable Aid ra of 51d in the £, Street Lighting ra of .5d in the £, special rates to pr vide interest and sinking fund e on loans raised only on land with the Borough pledged as security f the same (a) Conversion Loan £72,970, 4d in £, (b) Conversion Lo; of £25,520, 3|d in £. Further, pursuai to the provisions of Section 76 < the Rating Act, 1925, that a penall of 10 per cent, be added to all rat< remaining unpaid after six montl and fourteen days from the date < demand.
