NEW ZEALAND RECORD The top price of 500gns, believed to be a Dominion record, was paid for the rising three-year heifer Joyons of Waitaria at a dispersal sale of the Waitaria Aberdeen Angus stud of Mr G. V. Smith’s property at Patutahi. The buyer was L. N. Hoggard, of Pahiatua, who also bought Jennifer of Waitaria in the same class for 300gns. The offering of 225, with one of the herd sires and 18 rising two-year bulls unsold, realised 12,686gn5. The sale was conducted by Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd., and Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd.
