FORTHCOMING REVUE

ASSISTING C.0.R.5.0. FUNDS

STREET COLLECTION PLANNED At a meeting of the men’s finance sub-committee (C.0.R.5.0.) . last Wednesday evening Mr Ken Jarrett sketched briefly his scheme for staging a full Revue entertainment in the interests of C.0.R.5.0. funds. He stated that he had already spoken for a caste of forty persons, all local. The programme would include National items and exerpts from the ‘Merry Widow’ opera. The show would reach a high standard of entertainment which could not fail to draw public support. It was decided to go into the matter of securing the Grand Theatre for some suitable date in June, and to write Mr Kerridge in an endeavour to secure the building free in view of the cause which will benefit.

It was further decided to approach the Borough Council requesting the right to have a street appeal on Friday 24th of May, and to approach the ladies seeking their co-operation in this respect.
