WEDDING BELLS
BROWN—COUPER St. Andrew’s Church, Hastings, was tastefully decorated on April 6, for the marriage of Gwendoline Mary, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Couper, Hastings, to John Trevor, younger son of Mr and Mrs L. H. Brown, Whakatane. The Rev. W. M. Cattenach officiated.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming gown of white georgette, with sweetheart neckline, bodice buttoned to waist at back, long sleeves, and very full trained skirt. Her tulle veil was held in place by flowers to match her bouquet of white belladonna lilies and pale pink cactus dahlias. She was attended by her sister, Mrs Weii’, as Matron of Honour, and Miss Maureen Brown as bridesmaid, both wearing picture frocks of blue georgette made on similar lines to the bride’s dress. Hair sprays and shower bouquets were of dark pink cactus dahlias and beladonna lilies.
