TANEATUA SCHOOL

ELECTION OF COMMITTEE There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of householders of the Taneatua School last week when the chairman for last year, Mr C. Brown detailed the work which had been done during that term. He mentioned the transfer of Mr Fox and the farewell extended to him and also the arival of the new headmaster, Mr Oliver. Reference was also made to the completion of the concrete tennis courts in the school grounds. The election of the committee resulted:— . Chairman: Mr C. Brown. Secretary: Mr W. Rixon. Members: Messrs. J. W. Goodhew, R. Ricketts, Neil Reid, L. Richardson and R. McGougan. A special vote of thanks was passed to Mr D. King the driver of the school bus for his careful attention to the children when travelling on his vehicle at all times.
