TOPS AGAIN

, Ye olde, ancient and venerable pastime of whipping tops, is in again. The other day we noticed a boy on his way to school thrashing a pinecone top along th eroad. This morning he had three friends doing likewise. In another few days, as is each usual each year about this time, he will probably have more than three hundred of his fellows engaged in whipping. It certainly seems to be a fascinating way of spending a few spare minutes.
