WAIMANA GALA DAY
EASTER SATURDAY ATTRACTION
Easter Saturday’s feature attraction this year will be the Gala Day which takes place at Waimana on that date- This will represent the last of the round of gymkhanas, and as such, the committee responsible for the organisation has made every effort to see that it will be a memorable one. The meeting should indeed prove to be one of wide interest. A full programme including horse cuts, athletics, children’s events and chopping has been arranged, besides a number of special features including a Baby Show. .The Pipe Band will be in attendance, tea, hot water and., lunch will be available on the ground, besides a Maori hangi. A total of £165 in prize money can be guaranteed to attract competitors from all parts of the district, and spectators can be sure of a full tlay’s entertainment.
