Whakatane’s Post Office

Speaking of the prospects of the long-promised new Post Office for Whakatane, Mr W. Sullivan M.P., informed the Chamber of Commerce on Thursday evening, that the Minister was definitely sympathetic and that the building had been given a high priority. The position of building everywhere however was in such a state that conditions simply would not allow of constructions of this nature. However he advised the Chamber to keep the matter fresh in the Minister’s mind and to press for the Pudding to oe erected.
