VICTORY PARADE

LOCAL MAN SELECTED Information received over the weekend states that a Whakatane man, Mr Donald James, has been selected to take part in the great Victory Parade through London on June 8. Mr James has seen considerable service overseas and has doubtless been selected for his excellent record. Sgt. A. C. Hulme, V.C., a nephew of Mr Eric Mathews, until last year, a well known Whakatane businessman, will also be included in the New Zealand contingent. The men left for Trentham over the weekend.
