Edgecumbe’s Free Dance
The free dance sponsored by the Edgecumbe Committee in the R.S.A. Queen Carnival, which was held on the night of the race meeting, wad pne of the best supported fixtures of the Carnival. From the dance the committee netted £l2O.
Borough’s Financial Position L Following Mr W. R. Boon’s outline of the operations and administration of the Whakatane Harbour Board to the Chamber of Commerce last Thursday evening, Mr E. R. Dillicar expressed on behalf of members the greatest appreciation of the talk which he said from a businessman’s point of view was both interesting and illuminating. He only hoped that at some future date the Mayor might be able to give a similar talk as to the position of the Borough Council.
