FAMILY BENEFIT

REHABILITATION ALLOWANCE As from April 1, rehabilitation allowances to ex-servicemen will not include the 10/- a week for each child granted by Cabinet authority in November last. The reason is that the Minister for particulars of the amounting to 10/- a week, will then apply, and no duplication of the two benefits is proposed, The matter was discussed at a recent meeting of the Rehabilitation Board when the position was clarified as stated above. “It is impossible to pay two allowances for the one child,” said the chairman, the Minister of Rehabilitation, the Hon. C. F. Skinner.
