BOXING

ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME PLANNED

The Whakatane Wrestling and Boxing Association is conducting a very full programme of Boxing at the Grand Theatre on Saturday, April 6, at 8 p.m. Local boxers, who are being trained by Frank Hutchins, will be featured in several bouts, while Tauranga is sending over a big team including boys from 3st. 61bs. to Bst. There is a big surprise for patrons in the midget weight bout between Garry Ware 3st. 61bs. and Harry Woodcock 4 stone, besides the great exhibition that these boys provide. . The main bout will be a Professional Middleweight fight between Frank Hutchins, Whakatane, and either Bill Parris, Te Puke, or Vic Caultaux, fuil details of which will be announced in Wednesday’s Beacon.

Bookings have opened at Armstrong’s Book Shop at 10/-, 6/-, 4/each.
