AWAKERI SPORTS

SATURDAY, APRIL 6th Growing interest attaches the forthcoming Awakeri Sports Meeting and Gymkhana which is to be held on Saturday, April 6 in the interests of Princess Betty. The same committee which has in the past figured so prominently in the Sports held at Awakeri are again pledging their activities to the R.S.A. Welfare Memorial Appeal and for this reason the success of the event is certain.

The promoters intend running for sections of sport simultaneously, there will be the Athletics, the Horse events (adult and children’s), Chopping and Field displays. Apart from these active arenas a special effort will be made to entertain and amuse the public with sideshows and competitions. Awakeri this year is bent on staging an allround sports meeting which will be second to none.
