Twelve lives were lost in Febru- : ary as the result of motor accidents, reports the Transport Department. Five vehicles which ran off the road (one resulting in a double fatality); there was a collision between a car and a motor cycle at a city intersection; two other motor cycle accidents, a fatality due to the door of a moving bus opening and a passenger falling out; a collision between a car and a boy cyclist, the latter being fatally hurt, and a fatality due to a boy running out and being struck by a truck. In 1945 there were only six deaths in that period, while in 1943 and 1944 there were 10.
