GARS IN COLLISION

INCIDENT NEAR DOMAIN TWO MAORIS ARRESTED A lucky escape from serious injury was experienced by Mr and Mrs N. Carter last when their car was struck by another approaching from the opposite direction in Goulstone Road about 5.30 p. m.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged and Mrs Carter and her young daughter suffered minor injuries as a result, but were able to proceed home later after medical attention. Following the arrival of the police on the scene of the accident, the two Maori occupants of the other Wahaponga Kingi (the driver) and Tom Kereti were arrested and will appear in the police court this morning.
