Sgt. Tui Hauesler f son of. Mr and Mrs R. H. Hauesler of Paroa, arrive ed home from overseas' yesterday. The Misses Burke’s of Feildinft and Auckland, were recent guests of Mrs T. W. Burke,, Wainui. Mr and Mrs W. Donald, of Remuera, Auckland, have, been staYing with Mr and Mrs M. King, Wair mana. The resignation of Mr G. R. Kent from the Whakatane Harbour Board was last Friday received with re-» gret the chairman, Mr Boon stating that Mr Kent- although not one to come into the limelight, was nevertheless one who had done a vast amount of work in the inters ests of the town. The question of filling the vacancy was referred to the Borough Council-
