PERMIT GRAFTED
BOROUGH POWER SUPPLY EXTENSION TO HARDSHIP CASES Doctors certificates supporting the application of two residents who desired. to install electric ranges and cylinders in their homes were before the Borough Council at its meeting last evening.
The position since the control was imposed on the use of electricity, is that the Council has in the past refused permission except in the case of new houses. Last evening’s applications however were supported by medical argument, which made it plain that to refuse such permit would inflict severe hards'll ip on both applicants, one of whom was a badly wounded returned, soldier.
Under the circumstances it was decided to grant permission in both instances.
