Reporting to the Executive ol' the N.Z. Farmers' Union (Auckland Province) at its last meeting Mr R. R. Blade Chairman of Directors of the Primary Producers' Cooperative Society Ltd. stated that

the Company continued to make steady progress and to extend its sphere of operations. Turnover during the season ending June 30th last more, than doubled that of the corresponding previous period and the directors were highly gratified at

the support being given by the farmers to the cooperative movement. In spite of keen opposition from proprietary interests the com pany was able to function on a thoroughly sound financial basis and the general outlook was highly .satisfactory. Mr Blade mentioned that the deferred payments For the period ended June 30th 1945 would be distributed before Christmas.
