MEETING OF EXECUTIVE At the monthly Executive meeting oJ' tin: N.Z. Farmers' Union (Auckland Province) Jnc. held at the Provincial headquarters in Hobson Street Auckland, on Wednesday and Thursday, December 12 and 13 there were present: Captain H. M. Rushworlk. (Chairman), Messrs J-Sc-ult Davidson (W hangarei); A. C. A. Sexton (Auckland); A. C. Harrison (Tauranga); A- Gates (Pukeliuia): C. B. Miehie (Kaitaia); S. E. Hall (Matatoki); 11. W. Dunning (Otakiri); 11. R. Blade (Ahuroa); A- E. Bryant (Te Awamutu); N. J. B. Dougherty (Ohura); R. J. Glasgow (Onewbero); A. MeConaughy (Paparoa); D. \V . MacLarlane (Warkworth): J. H. Furniss (Huntly); W. VV. Oberer (Tokoroa);. (Vice Newell); L. R- Faville (Vice H. Johnston WaLkato); A. B. Robinson (Co-opted member); also Mr S. S. Green (Northern Wairoa). Considerable correspondence was received and remits lrom a number of branches were also considered. Relationship of the Union towards Federated Farmers of N.Z. was the subject of lengthy discussion and occupied a large part of the. lirst day and evening. Reports of organ* isers also, Meat, Transport and Trad'ing Committees were received and dealt Avith on the first day. In view of the pressing nature of business expected to require attention as soon as possible after the holidays it was decided to call the Executive together on January 23 instead of waiting as in other years, till February. The resignation of Mr A. T. Dow as Provincial Secretary, was received and accepted, and Mr G. M. Rodger was appointed as Acting Provincial Secretary 'in the mean,time.
