SOUTH AUCKLAND CONTEST A AND P> CUP GAMES Tlie first matches ot' the scar son for the South Auckland "A and B Cups" were played on the Taneatua Croquet greens recently. The weather was ideal, and Whakatanc, the won the "A Cup" by ten points and lost the ''B Cup"' to Taneatua by six points. Details of the play are as follows Taneatua players being mentioned first:— "A Cup" first and second round: Mesdames Marsden and Bennett 26 v Hellyar and Boon 19; Mesdames Haj'ward and Pettit G v Comar and Loane 20; Mesdames Mardsen and Bennett 26 v Hellyar and Boon 15; Mesdames Hayward and Pettit 18 v Comar and Loane 2G. "B Cup" first and second round: Mesdames Hill and Bennett 16' v Creeke and Shaw 26; Mesdames Pettit and Scrimgeour 26 v Burgess and Woolli'ams 16; Mesdames. Hill and Bennett 8 v Creeke and Shaw 26; Mesdames Pettit and Scrimgeour 26 v Burgess and Woolliams 2. All the visitors were entertained to lunch ? morning and afternoon tea and a most enjoyable time was spent.
