FEDERATION AFFAIRS In the course of a report to the. Farmers' Union (Auckland Province) Mr A. C. A. Sexton mentioned that when Mr Cooksley and Mr Mulholland visited Auckland in the spring of 1944 they gave an express undertaking to the Auckland Executive that the Dairy Producers' tion would not be recognised as a contracting body. This was repeated at other meetings held in the pro* vince yet the president ond organiser of the Dairy Producers' Association were signatories to the application for incorporation of Federated Farmers of New Zealand and the. President of the D.P.A. "was appointed a member of the Provisional Dominion Council.
