NOAH'S ARK
"There isn't much rooin " said the little pig with a sigh. "If I. weren't so fat I could squeeze in the corner. As it is ." He finished the sentence with another sigh. The second little pig looked around, "Never inind " she. said. Just 'then a mouse' followed, by his companion squeezed into- the corner. "They didn't take up wugh room. Two elephants came lumbering in. They seemed not to know what to do with their big trunks. Two liercc-looking tigers stood swishing their tails. j It was a squeeze, 'though and it began to look as though every one would.not be able to find: room. Then one of the lions made a suggestion. "Listen/' he said (and every one lisfor he was the king of beasts) } "we haven'jt; much room in this ark: but we've all got to live togo'ther—for a while at any rate; so let's make the very best of it and be as happy as Ave can. Suppose, for those of us avlio have long tails and like to swish them jujjfi keep them out of the way for . a while." "Good idea," agreed all the animals, and they began to twisdt their tails up or curl them—and to do whatever each could do to make room for the rest. "There seems to be a lot mpre air and room/ said the little pig as he tied his own tail inlto a tighter knot. . ' "Yes" agreed the second little 1 pig. "The. least we can do is to help each other, for we're all in the same boat."
