What ho, Avhat ho, ma hearties. Well we're hard on the heels of Xmas now aren't we ! Do yon know sailors that this is the second to Inst Peter the Whaler page that will appear this year. The next, and ladfy will be in the Christmas Supplement. A.s mam- of you will probably remember, we always close down for the school holidays us there is usually a number of sailors away, and it is hardly seems to be worthwhile to run the page when there are only a few, sometimes none at all, writing in. I suppose you are all thinking about holidays, and where and how you- are going to spend them. Some, 110 doubt, will pass them afc borne, doing the hundred and one different things they didn't have time to do during the year. Others, I suppose will take their vacation away from Wlia'katane amid strange places and strange people. But whatever you d® wiiCh your six week's holiday sailors the important thing to remember is that you. must do something differand it must be something you like doing. In that way, you can be sure '.Chat when the New Year conies, and it is time to start work once more, you will be. thoroughly refreshed, lit and ready, to put .your whole heart into your task. P.T.W.
