BRIDE-TO-BE HONOURED During the-past week Miss Grace Garaway who is shortly to be married has been the guest of honour at*~a number of evenings. The first } a surprise party to her home, arranged by her friends, too'k the [form of a 'gift evening' and was a very enjoyable affair. On Thursday 29tli inst members of Knox Church 9 Congregation met in the Church Hall to enjoy* "an interesting programme of games and musical items. Solos were given by Misses Betty Maekay and Dorothy Stewart and Mr F. Watson, and a pianoforte solo by Miss Margaret Bigelow. The presentation of an occasional table and a reading lamp was makle by the Rev. H, M. Bell who conveyed Hie good wishes of the Congregation. The presentation of a mirror was.also made at a meeting of Knox Girls' Auxiliary. Last Thursday evening a number of young people gathered at the residence of Mrs C. R. Kirk where the Misses N. and C. Sehofield had J arranged a kitchen evening. The J time jvas spent in games and com,-' petitions and many useful gifts were received.
