MR W. W. MULHOLLAND
NO FRIEND TO AUCKLAND
Mr TV". W. Mulholland, Dominion President of the N.Z. Farmers.' Union and a Director of the Provisional Council of Federated Farmers is opposed to Auckland Farmers' Union is the view held by Mr A. C. A. Sexton a member of the Auckland Executive of the Union who acts as its legal representative. In the course of a report to the Executive Mr Sexton stated:— "It has been only too evident that Mr Mulholland has from the beginning of the Federation proposals intended to weaken the Auckland Provinee 7 to jeopardise its assets policy and under takings; and to divide it into small provinces so that it will become almost completely ineffective. All his actions are plainly directed towards this end. He has given his fullest support to disruptive factions and they have 'known that they had the fullest .support. "While this spirit is there it is impossible for Federation to make progress."
