Ohope Camping Ground
The question of opening a thoroughfare known as Mair which. for some years past has formed part of Mahy's Camping Ground, Ohope, was discussed by the County Council at its meeting last week. The lease whereby this area was made over to Mr Mahy having expired, the Council was of two minds as to whether in view of Ohope's development the road should now be opened and formed as an olTicial right-of-way to the beach. Mr Mahy, who waited on the asked for an extension of his term } and it Avas finally decided that Mair Street be let to" Mr Mahy for another year at a rental of £10, which sum will be made over to the Domain Board.
