PERSONAL
Sister E. Bremer who left the •f staff of the Whakatane Hospital last Monday lor the purpose of taking up the duties of Inspecting Sister for the Fijian Healtk Department, was the subject of a numloer of presentations. On Saturday the porters and male staff presented her with a leather whilst on Saturday the Maori Domestics gave a social evening and presented her with a pair of vases. Sister Bremer carries with her tbe good wishes of all who knew her in Whakatane.
On the evening of November l(j the Bishop of Waiapu the Right Rev. C. C. Cruicksbank j visited Edgecumbe, and conducted a Confirmation service in "All Saints" Church. Also present was the Director of the Church Army in New Zealand Capt. S. R. Banyard who presented to the Bishop for commissioning as a Church Army Lay Evangelist Capt. L. W. G. Rogers. After tbe service a reception was held at the Edgecombe Private Hotel where supper was served by members of the Bible Class..
