' Seconded by Mrs Wilson and carried. Arrangements arc that lunch ! will be provided by the Murupara branch at 1'- pel- and visiting delegates are asked to bring a contribution for the firing and Buy stall to be held that day. Members are advised that fruit would be a most welcome contribution. Tt is hoped that each branch will send at least one car load. After a short discussion Mm Hill proposed that, branches be asked to make a special effort for Provincial funds to enable a Housekeeper-Sec-retary fund to be established. Tt is desired to have this fund as at times the Housekeeper-Secretary advances a part of the TTouskcepers wages, and! the. refund from Community Chest takes sonic time to come. Branches arc asked to note that remits for the conference must be in by the February meeting. Mrs McGill. Murupani, described the living conditions of rabbiters. There was usually only a whare provided and tlie man if married had * '9 to find a home for his wife and •family and usually could get home only once « weelt ? if that often. The life of a rabbiter was a healthy outdoor one, and should prove suitable for those returned servicemen who prefer a quiet life, but the lack of suitable accommodation did not encourage men to take up this occupation. Tt was. felt that if Rabbit Boards would build, homes for their employees in suitable localities, il would encourage married men to choose this work. Tt was suggested that Mrs McGill should write .an article for "The Country Women" to air this matter if "and find out if conditions were similar in other districts and that a remit could, be forwarded to the conference.

The meeting closed with a vot<> of thanks to the chair.
