Assisting the Home Builders
Human beings are apparently not the only ones "who strike difliculties when it conies to building a home. AVe noticed in the Strand the other day, that a couple of sparrows were also in a spot of bother. A large piece, of twine was lying on the roadway, ami the two sparrows in question were busily engaged in building a nest. Now obviously, even to those who have never built a nest a piece of twine is a valuable asset to such an undertaking ; but in this case, the twine measured about four feet, and two-sparrow power failed to lift it. Accordingly, a local businessman, who happened to be watching the helped them out. by cutting the twine into four pieces, and tilings proceeded smoothly. We learned also that this same businessman lias a regular hand in building this particular nest, for each day he supplies a length of superfine string, which the sparrows never fail to pounce on joyfully.
