Perhaps we'll realise— When war has torn the beauty from this land And left behind a grim and bloodstained sand— That we should prize Nature's far-jflung in perfect harmony— Symphonic song of birds—God's •masterpiece in melody. Perhaps Ave'll When Might has hurled destruction from the skies 9 And devastated lie Id. and plain— Avith us there lies The need to mend The shattered limbs and tortured minds-'-'ere Ave begin The greater task—to right the Avrongs of Avar and sin. Perhaps avc'll understand, Before the Force of Evil kills all Good,. That One, despite our erring ways beside us stood With guiding hand_ A-waiting, so patiently the yet far distant day.
