There is a great dearth of houses but there are still many homes with unoccupied rooms which, if made available, would fill the gap pending the erection of permanent dwellings. The amendment to the Fair Rents Act gives to householders the right to arrange tenancies for stated periods or to obtain re-possession of their rooms should the tenant prove undesirable: This ensures a home for the serviceman during the critical period of his early rehabilitation and enables the householder to make a contribution towards the solution of this most urgent problem without losing control of his property^ As a tribute to our servicemen you are URGED TO HELP.
