Beelzebub of Bedlam Was once the Morning Star ; He suffered with a swollen head And went a shade too far. Dropped like a discarded match Into the everlasting fire ? Where hoofs and horns he did acquire ; A viper's tongue and Dragon's tail And his colleagues,• so runs the. tale To obviate the fervant heat In mournful choruses compete Accompanied by shrieks and Weeping sighs and moans. The lesson to be learned by all Is selfish pride precedes a fall. The higher arrogance doth rise The lower it eventually lies. Hitler and Mussolini Quisling and Togo Have proved tbat false ambition Wrecked the Axis show. By Anon.
