WHAKATANE GOLF CLUB SATURDAY'S RESULTS On Saturday an Aggregate Stablelord Bogey was played. The result was a win for L. B. Smith and B. Butler with a total of 70 in spite of a slight drizzle. L. B. Smith returned an 83 off the stick which gave him an individual stableford of 41. Among the "also rans," were W. Henderson and R. Morpeth who com. piled a OS, and J. Wright and R. Combes with (s(>. On L. B. Smith's performant he lias been reduced to .10, and D. C. Morpeth has been reduced to 12. Tomorrow's Matches Tomorrow a Medal Handicap will be played and players are to select their own partners. Closing Day Closing day has been arranged for 17th November, and the annual general meeting : has been called, for Thursday, Bth November at the County Council Chambers. Club members are requested to make a point of attending both functions. LADIES' GOLF In spite of scattered showers and a strong wind good scores were re. turned las't Saturda3 T . Mrs Combes topped the list of the A Section by reducing her handicap by one and Miss Robins the B Section by reducing her handicap by two. Both Miss Reynolds and Miss Todman gained handicaps by returning scores of 109 and 111 respectively. There will be no draw for the November Medal Round which will be pla3 r e,d tomorrow but players are asked to pair and play off as soon as possible after arrival.
A'ladies' committee meeting will be held in the club-house after play tomorrow afternoon.
