LAST WEEK'S COMPETITION

Brave sailors. Really first class work. Your drawings of the circus were all very well done—-in fact 1 didn't know there were so many art. ists in the League (really top-notch ones that is). All of you had different ideas as to what the circus looked like (one even drew the 'Big Top' after the style of an Indian wigwam) while another sailor drew his tent with a door leading into it. Yes., a proper door with a doorhandle lock and everything! Another displayed numerous animals surround, ing the each one labelled with its type. For instance a loan was tied to a stake at the rear of the tent 5 whilst the hindquarters of an elephant jutted, out from behind the flap. A caravan approximately the size of the elephant's foot stood nearby. Six each containing a monkey were placed at the bottom) whilst in each cage there were, several peppermints lying on the floor. A very diminutive Peter the Whaler was depicted in a pair of rompers at the top right hand corner. But for all this the picture by its very detail deserved a ticket, and the lucky sailor shall receive one. This week's winners are:— Oliv£ Hunter Shirley Cooper Jill Learning Marjorie Sheat Congratulations sailors. Collect your tickets from the Beacon Office with my best compliments. P.T.W.
