BOYS' BRIGADE

LOCAL UNIT INSPECTED

ROUND OF ACTIVITIES The Boys' Brigade Company in Whakatane was privileged, to have Lieutenant J. H. Norman and a party of lads visit them for the Labour weekend. The party was on an inspection tour having come from Hamilton and being representative of the Waikato Companies. Among their engagements was to inspect the newly formed Ist Whakatane Company of 24 members to date. On Sunday morning a well attended Church parade was enjoyed by all and during the afternoon the party with members of the Ist Whakatane, visited Ohope and saw the camp site, where 150 boys of the Waikato Battalion and lads from Wai hi and' Tauranga will camp during the Christmas holidays. Monday was spent fishing and exploring Whale island.
