WEDDING BELLS
MORSE—GRAEFF A very pretty wedding was .solemnised at St. Luke's Anglican Church on September 22 when Gwendoline only daughter, of Mr and Mrs A. Graeff } of Hastings became the wife of Francis Henry, eldest son of Mr and Mrs M. Morse of Ngongotaha. Archdeacon R. Hodgson officiated at the. ceremony. The bride who was escorted at the church by her father wore a beautiful gown of off-white cloque, fashioned with close-fitting bodice buttoned at the back to the waistline and long sleeves. The neckline was finished with scallops and the full .skirt fell into a scalloped train. Her white tulle veil which had 1 een lent by a friend, was appliqued in bell design with white satin This was. held to her head by a halo of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of white camellias and roses. In attendance as bridesmaid was ■Miss Bettv Pearson, of Whakntane > > whose frock was of white organdie. This was similarly styled to that of the bride, with tight-fitting bodice
and bouffant skirt. Her bouquet was of red tulips and anemones and she wore a top-knot of the same flowers. The best man was Mr Ron Paterson. of Ngongotaha. After the ceremony, a. reception was held at the home of the br'de's uncle and aunt Mr and Mrs (iert GraefF Te Ngae Road. Guests were received by Mrs A. GraefF assisted by Mr.s Morse. For her travelling the bride chose a model suit of powder blue } worn with black accessories.
