SNOOKER TOURNAMENT
WIDE INTEREST SHOWN
Very wide interest is being shown 111 the snooker tournament which is .at present being held in Mr J. Ilan"vvrighit's billiard saloon. Whakatane. This is the first such tournament to be held in Whmakatane for a number of and the support accorded" augurs well for the future. Forty-four contestants lined up for the first round which was played last Monday evening and resulted as follows handicaps being shown ;in brackets:— R. Orr (9) beat M- Wane; P.
