PEDIGREE BULL SALE
TOP PRICE 115 GUINEAS 120 AVERAGE 24 GUINEAS There was a large attendance of buyers from the Whakatane and Opotiki districts at the Annual Sale of Stud Jersey Bulls held on October 3 on account of the South Bay of Plenty Jersey Cattle Breeders Club at the Agricultural and Pastoral Showgrounds, Whakatane. Buyers were also present from Blenheim, Te Puke and Waihi. The catalogue of 140 bulls was a record entry for the club and the 120 bulls sold realised the satisfactory average of 24 guineas. Top price of the sale was 11 o> guineas for Lot 69 purchased by the. Auctioneers as Agents. This bull was an outstanding type of yearling offered on account of Mr E. H. Hill of the Bluegums Stud 5 'J ITaneatua. The next . best price was lOQgns for Lot 19 —a two year old purchased by Mr H. L. Bowditch Te Puke. Looney, 7 bulls averaged 38gns; G. W. Mexted, 13 bulls averaged S7gns; D. O. Murray, 4 bulls averaged 22 ;gns; R. L. McDoanld, 4 bulls averaged 22gns; J. S. Rae 4 bulls averaged 20gns; J S. 10 bulls averaged 45%gns; F. J. Savage and Son, 19 bulls averaged 33gns.; H. E. Watkin, 2 bulls averaged 4.ogns; J. B. Wardlaw, *3 bulls averaged ilgns; G. R.
