POSSESSION OF HOUSE
FARMER'S PLAINT HEARD
COURT GRANTS ORDER
An' order for possession of the house he was. now occupying before the 10th of November, together with rent arrears totalling £18 2s 3d was given by *lr E. L. Walton, S M. in the Whakatane Magistrate's Court last Tuesday against Thomas Carmichael.
The action was brought by the owner Mrs E. M. Haultain. Evidence showed that no rent had been paid for lour months by the defendant and the cottage was needde for an employee who was prepared to work on plaintiff's farm. Repeat-i ed endeavours to obtain possession by friendly means had failed.
