WEDDING BELLS
ROWSELL,—RHODES St. George's Churchy Whakatanc, was the .scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday September 12 f when Joy Morton only ehilcl of Mr and -Mrs A. J. Rhodes oi' EdgecumJ)e was married to Clement Keith (Cobber) younger son of Mr and Mrs C. Rowsell of Tauranga. The Rev. J. C. .1. Wilson officiated. The bride who was given away by her father wore a graceful trained gown .of* candlelight satin and her pale pink embroidered veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of pink and cream stock and heather. The bride was attended by MissJean Black wearing soft green geor_ gette, Miss Eleanor Baskett of Auckland, primrose georgette and Miss Helen dahlia georgette. All three frocks were cut on similar lines to the bride's and trimmed with lace and each wore tiny stiffened crinoline hats to tone and. carried matching bouquets of stock freesias and orchids. The bridegroom was attended hy his brother Mr Leo Rowsell as best and Mr Peter Yoss and Mr Cecil Ford as groomsmen. The reception after the ceremony was held at the Commercial Hotel, where the bride's mother received the guests wearing a >mart black frock with shoulder spray of red anemones. After the reception most of the guests returned to the home of the bride's parents where the bride changed into her travelling suit of aquamarine with wine, access sories. The happy couple left amid showers of confetti and congratula_ tions.
