THORNTON ANGLICANS
BIBLE CLASS SOCIAL
Thornton Hall resembled a leafy grotto last Friday night on the occasion oi' a social organised by the Anglican Bible Class. The decorations were a tribute to the organisers industry and thought and the condition of the lloor left nothing to bo desired. Cadet L. 'Rogers controlled proceedings in his usual capable manner ? and Messrs Reg Thompson (piano) and J. Eagleson (drums) provided a full programme of dances and novelties. There was a large attendance of Bible Class members from Awakeri and Edgecumbe. Mrs J. Scott sang two songs to an accompaniment by Mrs E. Goodwin. For*tha happy throng midnight came all too soon and Auld Lang Syne concluded another of these popular socials. i
