STOCK MARKET
One of the most successful Cattle Fairs in this district for many a year was held in the local yards on Tuesday September 1,. A very representative bench of buyers from outside districts made the competition keen for all classes of stock ; beef prices being particularly buoyant, Prices realised were as follows: Beef: Prime bullocks up to £21 ss; medium bullocks £18 to £19 15s; light bullocks £15> to £17. Heifers and Cows: Heavy £14 15s to £1(> Ms; medium £12 to £14; light £10 to £12. Three year old bullocks to £15; yearling steers from £(i 10s to £8; I.C. cows from £8 10s; 2 year old heifers £7; yearling heifers up to £() 25..
