UNIRRA SPEEDS AID In the first nine days of July, Greek workers in Piraeus and ether ports unloaded eight ship loads of food, and industrial agricultural and medical supplies from UNRRA. From April 1 when UNRRA took over full relief responsibilities in Greece, until 114 ships with supplies arrived in Greek ports. These included 17 375 tons of grain and flour and 10 773 tons of other kinds of food. To assist those of the Greek population in dire need of garments of all kinds, a shipment of UNRRA clothing, amounting to 3 252,000 pounds has arrived.

Lowered on to the dockside also was another valuable cargo composed of 98,000 tons of desperatelyneeded medical supplies.

UNRRA has come to the aid of San Marino, the oldest republic in the world —and the tiniest.

An agreement reached between the two provides for the expenditure by UNRjRA of approximately on medical and sanitary aid and supplies, assistance in the care and re« turn to their homes of displaced persons, and welfare services for nursing mothers and children.
