Lighting at Whakatane West Station

Some time ago the Whakatane Chamber of Commerce wrote to the Minister of Works requesting that consideration be given to the provision of lights at the station. Information lias now been received that within the next lew months the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board proposes to run a service line past the station and that, the Railways Department will take advantage of the proximity of supply to install elcctric lighting in the station.
