PERSONAL
Mr and Mrs T. Love } of Helensville, are at present spending a week's holiday in Whakatane. They are staying with Mr and Mrs J. Love of Anzac Avenue. At the meeting of the Whakatane Hospital Board last week, the chair-> man (Mr L. Buddie) intimated that owing to the multitudinous duties now on his hands he felt that the time woukl came when he must ask the Board to accept his resignation. He did want however to carry out the present programme, of improvements upon which the Board was now engaged and see their cornple-* tfcnr and he would continue to work in the Board's interests to the best of his ability. Mr Suckling for Board members expressed regret at the chairman's decision and hoped that it would be delayed for some time yet.
