ANALYSIS OF BRETTON WOODS

Sir—lt is a point worth emphasising that the gold hoarded under the Bretton Woods Conference does not belong to the United States Government but is held in trust for its private owners. Therefore who governs the U.S.A.? The Bank of International Settlements is the dic-< tator. Is it not time that we should enquire into the stewardship of our administrators for many years; past, and demand the New Order of Economic Security and Freedom both internally and externally. The assumed ignorance, or shall I say blindness of our past and present administrators that- has lead us into tliis trap of the Old Order to be rer inforced by military control. Therefore we must- consider the Articles of Association laid down by the Bretton Woods Conference, That all currencies are to be. fixed in terms of gold i.e. at the rate of so many pounds dollars, franks etc. to one ounce of gold (article) IV, sub-sea-tion (A). The par value of the currency of each member (nation) shall be expressed in the terms, of gold as a common denominator or in terms of the United States dollar of the fineness and weight as in effect on July l f 1944. (article IV: Section (1) sub-section (A). In accordance with Schedule A, quotr ers of each member; the combined voting power of the Board of Gover-t nors is 99 000 votes. Australia would be entitled to 2250 votes; and New Zealand 750. Therefore there should be no doubts as to the surrender of Australia and New Zealand of tbeir sovereign rights, and the British Commonwealth as a whole by the ratification of the International Pact or Pacts of the various- conferences. This shows the complete failure of the Bretton Woods Conference to advance any principles to meet the' situation which must be faced up to if we are to have peace. I have stated the facts of these sinister schfemes of the international banker and it is more urgent now than ever that Ave should take a stand for economic freedom and the sover r eignty of the State. If our Parlia-> mentarian& are not alive to this evil plot to deprive us of our British freedom, then there will be no h'ome for heroes in what "should" be God's own country.Yours etc. W. BRADSHAW.
