WAIMANA DANCE

— ♦ ST. JOHN'S NURSING DIVISION PRESENTATION OF MEDALLIONS The. dance held in the Waimana Hall recently by the Waimana branch of the St. John's Home Nursing Division proved most popular. The function was actually held for the presentation of Medallions to the successful candidates. Music for dancing avus: supplied by the Waimana Dance Band and Mrs Martin obliged with an extra. The M.C. was Mr Angus who capably carried out his duties. Many novelty dances added to the brightness of the evening, and after supper Mr A. Carling presented the Medallions and stated that the Home Nursing Division in Waimana would or could compare Avit.li any Division fin the Dominion. The wo-rk was of a very high standard. Mr Carling wished the. branch every success in the future and then called for three cheers for the Division. Tlie following candidates received Medallions: Mrs C. Wylde; Mrs Leather; Mrs C. N. White; Mrs W. Stevenson; Mrs H. Wardlaw; Mrs I. Savage; Miss F. Wool field; Mrs M. Mannion; Mrs Hewitt; Mrs J. Wardlaw and several other successful candidates, were unable to be present. Mrs 11. Wardlaw in a feAV wellchosen words on behalf of the mem--9 bers thanked Mr and Mrs Carling > for coming out to the dance and Mr Carling for all lie had done by waj T of training in the yast. Dancing continued until a late hour when the playing of the .National Anthem closed the function.
