FARMERS' UNION AFFAIRS

Sir—Today I placed in the paper an advertisement "calling on Farmers' Union members to attend their, district meetings. In it I called on them to wake up! I meant it. Farm, ers need to wake up! Farmers, are not attending any of their organisations meetings properly. It is at those meetings that their busines is transacted and things are done there which have a bearing on their future as free men and also in their pockets. As all members of the Farmers. 7 Union are now and have been for some time members of the new Federation of Farmers with full privileges of same, it is very necessary that they know something of this new body and how it proposes to work. Therefore attend your meetings and find out for yourselves what is taking place. It is very vital I think you will agree that » i ' you should wake up. Yours e-tc.^ R. DUNNING. Member Auckland Executive SubProvincial Vice-president, Member Special Committee dealing with Federation matters } Wellington,
