BUSINESSMEN BACK AGAIN
THREE TEAMS LINED UP Once moi*e into the limelight have sprung the Whakatane businessmen AvhcT after their initial success; last year ? have decided unanimously to once more engage the local basketball girls in a Grand Championship which is destined to take place on Saturday. Those who followed proceedings last year will remember the matches played between these two factions at the Domain, where the businessmen. were fairly successful. This year ? proceedings will take, much the same but three teams have been constituted in place of the two which played last year. A practice was held on Saturday ? when the teams turned out to get their eyes in. AH proceeds raised will go towards the expenses incurred by the Whakatane girls travelling with the Bay team to Cliristchureh.
