WHAKATANE GOLF CLUB

The first rounds df the Fortune and the Founders Cups were played last Saturday. In conjunction' with these matches a Stableford Bogey sweepstake was played. The Stableford Bogey was won by Brian Alexander with a score of 33 who won from John Connell on the count Lack. Tomorrow the second round of the cups will be "pla3*ed together with the second round of the Flight. A number of matches were not played last Saturday and it is essential that not only the first round but also the second round be decided by Friday, August 3. Players eliminated from the above competitions will play a Medal round the draw for which is as follows:— Wright v Ducker; Campbell V J. Wilson; Burstali v Cradwick; Anderson v Bridger; R. Butler v Sloane; Littlejohn v Berg; Wvlic v B. Butler; Powdrell v liyland; Wilding v Mooidy.
